Scanned PDFs often have ugly black borders or half-inch margins. Crop removes them cleanly.
Two crop styles
**Uniform crop** — apply the same rectangle to every page. Perfect for scanner margins.
**Per-page crop** — visually drag a rectangle on each page. Slower but exact.
When to crop
- Removing scan artifacts (black edges)
- Trimming to a specific aspect ratio (A4, Letter)
- Preparing PDFs for e-book readers
- Cutting out scanned business cards from a batch
What crop preserves
Text layer, bookmarks, hyperlinks, form fields. Crop is a bounding-box change — everything inside the new box stays intact.
